{First & Last}

We saw a $15.90 ShabuShabu at Marina - Eat all you can. Exactly the same ingredients as what we had. I guess the difference was our waiter went...

"Sir, Mam, this is your shabu shabu...cabbage, chinese vegetable, shitake mushroom (ONLY ONE), golden mushroom, leek, bamboo shoots and US beef... would you like me to cook them for you?"

Of course I wanted them to cook. I was so upset when I saw the "spread". $90+++ for that?!?!?!?!?!! I could have eaten the $15.90 Eat All U Can spread that looks exactly the same. Was the beef exceptionally nice? No. It tasted normal. The beef didn't even melt in my mouth like the one we tried in Seoul... It was bland soup base with beef and vegetable.... urgh!

Appitizer: Tofu WAHHHHHH super big....

From left to right
Sweet potato - one lump
Fish row - 1 tablespoon (maybe)
Sea urchin - 1 teaspoon

Raw fish & scallop
Can't comment, didn't eat it. Allergic to raw food. M ate it all.

Pathetic overpriced steamboat

And this is even worst. $120+++ for teppanyaki... at least give us king prawns, large scallops, oysters, or something.. but no.... all we had was...
2 x old 50 cents sized scallops +
2 x  old 50 cents sized prawns +
2 x old 50 cents sized squid +
1 x $5 sized salmon

Come on!! For that price, we deserve more right?!?!?!?!

And the waiter said, "Try our fried rice, it's quite good." I was expecting like sticky Japnese rice fried with dried japanese scallops or something... No......

Ordinary tasting non-sticky rice with lots of oil and mixed vegetable..... HALO?!?!?!?

Tao gei? Not even the big nice ones. At least asparagus or something....

The beef was not bad, but not the best we've eaten - ordinary is simply not acceptable at this place...

We were really disappointed, but we finished every bit of it... cost a bomb! And it wasn't even nice.

His concluding statement to me... "Next time let me choose, don't insist. Ichiban is better." Lol.
OK point taken, lesson learnt. Ouch!
