J called and wanted to make a "shadow box" for her BF's anniversary gift. She came over last Saturday afternoon and I think I might have changed her views on scrapbooking.
Before she started, she said this would probably be her first and last attempt. After the session, she seems pretty open to do it again.
The part she enjoyed most was distressing the edges. There was a "glow" in her eyes as she scraped the edge of the well cut paper to give it a raw look and fascination took over as she added some "colors" to give it a burnt look. I myself, am a big fan of distressing stuff :)
We even came up with a "sales pitch", a "story" on God, perfection, imperfection all linked together. I don't even remember what it is now, but at that point when the idea was birthed, we had a really good laugh over it!
It was a really nice time to catch up with her and do something I really enjoy. It was a form of "stress release" for me and a time to catch up with an old friend.

The boy and girl transparent tags gave it a really cool touch. Love that idea!
