{Reno Day 6 & 7}

They spent about 9 - 10 hrs on Sat redoing the entire parquet on the 2nd level. They were grinding, sandpapering, staining, varnishing...that should be the way isn't it? Previously, they only took 7 hours to do the job and we didn't see them sanding it down, they went straight from grinding to staining & varnishing... why would they want to do that? Would that really save them time?

It's now day 7 and we're here here waiting for the contractor and painters to arrive. Appointment was made at 10am... it's now 11.38am, no signs of workers - they need new watches... don't they realise that people actually make plans to stay home to wait for them????

We went upstairs to look at the floor, it seems MUCH better than before. So all their reasons and excuses for why the grinding marks were seen previously has officially became invalid.

There's still some flaws that were missed out. An entire portion of the staricase hand rails were not polished and varnished. It's rough...also there's a spot in our room where the wood is not level with the floor. So when we walk we actually hit on it...

What can I say...
